Absolutely fantastic store for anyone who’s into music primarily of the Punk Rock genre. My family and I have visited this little gem since it first opened and we are always greeted warmly by Mike and his million dollar smile. Besides the music, clothing and collectible accessories, Underground also sponsors several events throughout the year that bring hundreds if not thousands of customers who are not only treated by amazing vendors offering custom pieces, but are also entertained to live music by very well known musicians, known worldwide. You would expect a store of this caliber to be found in either Philly, Pa. or within N.Y.C., and not within the quaint little surroundings amongst the Shoppes of Historic Smithville, NJ.

Great shop in Smithville Village. Music is loud and the vibe is punk- the way it should be! Purchased many items over the years including obscure art prints, one of a kind tees (kids and adults), fun patches & buttons and plenty more. The owner and his girlfriend are really nice people who work hard to stock some neat things in this crowded little shop- and they keep it well organized. We love coming to the variety of Underground art events put on each year (Art Walk, Monster Bash, Rockabilly, etc). Definitely a gem in this town!

Hands down best store in NJ and one of the top punk rock stores in the country, you won't find anything quite as unique as underground. Great shirts, posters, cool horror memorabilia, and Mike the store owner is one of the nicest most down to earth guys around. I've been coming here for the past 10 years and it's always a great experience.

The shop is fun! Lots of cute pins! Unique tees, horror posters, and great music. The events organized by the shop are amazing! Rockabilly, zombies, costume contests, art! The owner and his ghoulfriend are always kind and shake things up in the town! Support small business! Definitely a must visit for the punks in your life!

Literally the best shirt ever. Also, there was so much I wanted to get, it's definitely alternative-punk-rock with bits of other goodies! Will definitely be back at some point. Also, can we just say the music playlist in the shop is A+? 💘🤌

I have been coming here for years this place is so awesome. They have the best horror shirts, jewerly, posters, hats everything you could need and they have great prices. The music is awesome and the owners are super nice and cool I recommend this place to anyone who loves horror, goth, punk, or just wants a cool place to go to!

I've been going to the Underground for years with my dad. its worth the drive from anywhere you are if you also love punk rock, hardcore, metal and have an deep appreciation for cult classic vintage horror and Sci-fi movies. The owner has always been the nicest guy to us and we love his selection of wears and prints. Highly Recommend a stop when near or at Smithville!

This store is AWESOME. All of the things you never knew you needed for fun. Patty was awesome & helped us find sizes & just so friendly. We don't live real far but she gave us the business card so now we can order from website too! Thanks for being awesome!
